When we decided it was time to do the big lap, we decided that we would blog about it.  Partly as a journal and record of our photos and personal thoughts.  Part to keep in touch with our families and friends, and partly to provide information as a guide for others who are interested in similar travels.

To hit the road, is to begin a journey.  Usually said when it’s time to go home, but also applicable at the start of a road trip.

Frog and Toad is rhyming slang (we’re not sure if it’s cockney or aussie) for road

So Hit The Toad was born.
