Gone are the days when we had to sort and pack everything into the car before taking off for a weekend of camping. Since we ditched the tent and got our camper, most items remain packed and stored ready to hitch up and go.
So here’s the list of what stays in the camper ready for a quick getaway
On The Outside:

In The Toolbox:
- Wheel chocks

In The Kitchen:

In The Trailer:

- Long Handle Shovel

- Toilet seat (Jimmy’s Thunderbox)

- Cast Iron cooking set (hotplate / camp oven / jaffle iron)
- 2 x chairs
- Table
- Gas cooker
- BBQ
- Shade clothe – we use as flooring in the annex to reduce dirt/dust
- Collapsable rubbish bins
- A set of Porta-Drawers (2 x large drawer version) containing:
- Plates / bowls / cups / mugs
- Frying pan
- Billy
- Saucepans
- Tupperware containers
- Chopping Board

- the Food Box
- Storage Box containing:
- Collapsible bucket
- Toilet paper
- Games (Bocce ball set, cards)
- Fly spray
- Buster’s Box
- “corkscrew” – this screws into the ground to act as an anchor to tie him to if there are no trees about
- Long rope
- Lead
- Food / water bowl
- Doggie insect repellent
- Coat
- Box of dog treats
So when we decide to go, we just throw in the last few items
- Fill up the food box
- Fridge (Car boot)
- Clothes (car boot)
- Buster’s bed (in trailer if he’s coming)
- Kindle / Books
- Bedding (pillows & sleeping bags) – we will be leaving the bed made up when travelling, just covering it with a tarp so that the dirt and grit from the floor doesn’t land on our bed when we fold the tent up.
There might be a few additions for our long haul, but that’s pretty much how we roll….
